Our mission

URI aims to be a unique platform, merging concepts of an educational institution and a business incubator. We offer support, community, and direction to aspiring and established researchers.

Our projects

Our projects focus on two main areas: research and education. Our research division is home to a very talented group of scientists and engineers developing products that are sure to make an impact, ranging from innovative prosthetics to nerve stimulators. Our education department is working on opening a K-12 school with a tailored curriculum and community structure.

Structure

URI's innovative IP (intellectual property) distribution system ensures fair compensation to every researcher, creating a healthy work environment and cultivating new product development.

Make an impact

We are a 501c3 nonprofit and rely heavily on your donations. Every contribution will help move our projects forward, whether its time, information, networking opportunities, or monetary. Please reach out to us to become a part of our community and make a truly meaningful impact.

About us

The purpose of Utah Research Institute encompasses three main areas: high impact research, education, and raising awareness. Our organization merges the concepts of a university and a business incubator, providing a unique platform for researchers and students. We implement an innovative IP (intellectual property) distribution system that ensures fair compensation and a healthy work environment for our members.

Utah Research Institute has obtained IRS 501c3 tax exempt status and Utah nonprofit/tax exempt status as well as a Utah Charitable Solicitation license. Our goal is to use our nonprofit status to apply for federal, state and private grants to get funding for research and other projects, and solicit donations from individuals and groups. We have and will continue to recruit volunteers, researchers and other members to be involved in our projects and programs.

The Institute's main goal is to create a competitive alternative to modern higher education and research as a profession. We aim to be a library of accessible resources and opportunities.

The future of our organization includes building a K-12 school with an innovative curriculum and community structure, an incubator/accelerator program with a hardware lab, community and networking opportunities, and continuing growing the platform for sustainable and innovative R&D (research and development).

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) awareness

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is the 8th leading cause of death in the USA. The CDC estimates more than 1 in 7, that is 15% of US adults or 37 million people have CKD. With current detection rates, CKD puts 558,000 annually in dialysis. Early detection and knowledge of risk factors can prevent thousands(or other descriptor) from going down this irreversible path.
